Winter Fairy Soda Stitch :)

Thank you for your comments on my previous post ! Before I end up posting about the progress on my Kitty litter self SAL again I decided to fill-in with a finish I completed in May :)

Soda Cross Stitch winter fairy Elf Garden

Winter fairy from Elf Garden by Soda Stitch
Stitched on 16 count Zweigart Aida fabric

There are four fairies and my favorites are summer and spring fairies . But I did not want to do injustice to others so I have kept the favorite ones for the last .

Life was busy last month spending time with my mother and lots of seed sowing . I have been lagging behind in reading blogs these days . Few years back I used to read multiple times which later turned into a schedule of twice a day . Since last year , I have been reading once a day often missing out on weekends . But from last couple of months I sometimes end up reading alternate days or once in 2-3 days . It is not that I am that busy or reached any blog fatigue where many bloggers , recently , feel like abandoning the journey . I very much like to be on the blog land and I don't have any local friends with same hobby interests . I find reading blogs everyday easier as it doesn't create too much of backlog . How is your blog reading schedule ?

Have a nice time!
Preeti :)

  1. That's a sweet little girl! My favorite season is autumn, so I'm looking forward to see that one :-)

  2. Love the cute little pig tails! Well done on such a lovely finish. Now to watch out for the other seasons.
As for blog reading, I'm now in a routine of reading each morning, sometimes more if my computer's on. I think you're right about there being fewer blogs/postings than a few years ago as people have given up or migrated to FB and/or instagram. But I'm with you - I'm staying in blogland. :)

  6. What a sweet little fairy! ♥ Well done, Preeti. About reading blogs: In "normal" times I do it every day, but my list is so long that I often fail to check all new posts my feedreader shows me on the same day. Btw, it's the same here: No local friends with these interests. Our city with 26.000 inhabitants not even has a half-decent yarn shop! Only a few lonely balls of yarn in 2 of 3 sewing shops. It's a real crochet and knitting desert here! So blogland is the best way to communicate about my favorite hobbies. Sunny greetings!

  7. I love your choice of cross stitch designs!! About blog reading...mine has reduced to once in a week. I guess instant gratification via FB, Pinterest and Instagram is more in trend now.

  9. Dear Preeti, I like your fairy. She is cheerful :-)
I read blogs every night. Then I write my. I'm no longer responding to the comments, not the time.
I will send you a heartfelt greeting!

  10. What an adorable little fairy. I am trying to keep up with blogging. Like you, I have no friends that stitch. I would miss all of you very much. Plus, I do love learning about far off places and customs. These are things I would not be able to do if it were not for blogging. So glad you are sticking with it!

  11. Love your fairy. I do check once in three days on blogland. I don't want miss this as I get connected to like minded people.

  12. Another sweet finish, Preeti. I admire your crafting and try to read blogs on a daily basis except when I am traveling, because I appreciate the sharing of creative pursuits with my blogging friends, and have few nearby folk who share my crafting interests. Thanks for posting! xx

  13. She's such a sweet little thing, your fairy. Great finish.
I don't have a real schedule for blog reading and commenting. I just do it, when I find the time for it, mostly in the mornings. Very rarely during the day.

  14. YAY SODA STITCH :D I think you're right to start with the ones you don't love the most but she's still super cute.

I mostly read in the evenings, if I'm not immediately sucked into a game with my husband. I like being in blogland very much but I am starting to hate the blogger platform. They keep doing weird things to it (but this is Google as a whole I think). I am lucky that this new place is very craft-friendly although not many people with cross-stitch. They do love their yarn crafts here.

  15. This is sweet! For myself, I don't have a clear routine for blog reading, I try to fit it in when I have a little free time and have also noticed a lot of people leaving of late.

  16. Such a sweet finish. Wouldn't she feel cold with this dress in winter? Lol
I'm ashamed to say that I'm addicted to social media so I check blogs many times in a day but since last 2 months I'm not in a mood of commenting.

  17. Such a lovely fairy Preeti, really cute and colourful. I don´t have a routine as such for reading blogs but usually find time in the late evening.

  18. I agree with Mini! She must live near the equator.
I read blogs every evening after tea so I get about an hour to 90 minutes each evening. I use the categories on my Feedly reader so that people who comment most frequently on my blog go in the Read First category. The designers and shop blogs go into another category as I don't comment on those. Everyone else goes into alphabetical order and I read all the posts by one person at once, commenting on the most recent. That way if someone posts daily I can clear 10-15 posts in one go reading them once a fortnight!

  19. It is so pretty!
I don't blog as often as I used to, and as a result I don't visit other blogs as often as I used to also. My favorite ones are on the sidebar on my blog.

  20. What a darling finish, Preeti--she is so cute :)

I only read blogs once a week--just don't seem to have the time to do it every day :)

  22. As you can see I am behind with blog reading...I usually read on the train to and from work but I am not working at the moment so am a bit disorganised.

Your fairy is so pretty but I worry she will catch cold in winter as she seems not to have any clothes on!

  23. The fairy is so adorable! I too love reading blogs as we can connect to people of similar interest. But after my little girl is born, life seems so busy right now that i can only read blogs once every 5 days or a week.

  24. She is so sweet. But won't she be cold in winter in such a tiny outfit?
