Thank you for your support and wishes on my last post ! I did well on my stall activity and sold more than I expected :)
I did not have accessories to display things and I did not want to invest on those either . I used the items at home and Raj made a notice board for me out of a photo frame . A stall was equivalent to a table , medium sized , good for me as I did not have too many things .
I made small crochet items for sale as I had only two weeks . Considering that it was a fun fair kind of thing and that residents will purchase just for fun so I made low-cost small items than costly large ones .
These are the things I made . I made 10-12 of each item . Anshita created and printed the packaging details for me and Raj helped pack those in zip bags . Here are few samples .
I also made beginner's cross stitch kits - four of the same design, will share picture in the next post. None purchased but people showed interest in knowing what it is . The good thing is that I learned to make a kit , otherwise , so far I have only designed charts .
I also kept some homemade chocolate packs for kids because I had all girly things on my stall .
Life is busy again but I do remember about my challenge and I will be making 'Temari Balls' , a Japanese craft , in November . I had purchased a book long back , you can see how beautiful and intricate this art is in the pictures I posted here .
It was an overdose of crochet , first cushions then so many stall things , so last weekend I did some cross stitch which I will share in the next post :)
Hope you are having a great week !
Preeti :)

It was a very nice experience and residents , both known and new , who visited my stall appreciated my work :) I did find a few who were interested or were into crafting but none who did crochet .

All the crochet items are lovely. Neatly packed. Got some idea for my next sale in church. Me too have ideas for making embroidery purse kits. But I am always take back seat in executing things. Should plan to go ahead atleast in the new year.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a very successful craft fair for you :)

ReplyDeleteWow! Preeti, you really made so many lovely, lovely things! I can see why your sales figures were successful! I'd love some of that chocolate right now--I'm sure the dinosaurs and robots were especially popular :)
ReplyDeleteWow, nice Preeti what it's all cute!
ReplyDeleteI send greetings!
So glad it went well with the stall!
ReplyDeleteCould I get the doll assesories patterns please?
Preeti, you had lovely items in your stall and I'm so glad you had good sales. I think you were smart to go for smaller items. The chocolates look delicious and I really like the shapes you did.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it a great feeling when your items sell! :D My favorites are the beautiful flower appliques. They are stunning. It was nice of you to think of the ones not liking "girly things" (what's wrong with them :b) with the chocolates! Your molds are adorable, especially the little dinosaurs.
ReplyDeleteI missed your last post and just went back to read it and appreciate the lovely gifts you made for your friends, and now am admiring the lovely things that you successfully sold! Yay! The one time I participated in a craft fair I did not sell anything, but I did have a great time and admired the work of others :) xx
ReplyDeleteFantastic! I am so pleased that your stall went well. All your crafty things look lovely so I am not surprised that they sold well!
ReplyDeleteHugs xx

ReplyDeleteOh Preeti, looking at the stall items ,I wish I was in India and could attend the fair in person. You created beautiful and cute items ,I'm not surprised that the response was good. I always love your color choices. My favourite is the Diwali diya hanging, atlast something that fits my favourite festival.
ReplyDeleteP.S. I love the photo frame display Raj made and looking fwd to the cross stitch kits you made. Thanks for the reminder on the challenge.
ReplyDeleteYou made so many wonderful things for the sale. I'm glad you did well. It's great that you had help from your family!

ReplyDeletewow...glad that you had a lovely experience of participating in fair
ReplyDeleteSo pleased that your stall of gorgeous items went well and you made good sales. The crochet items are all lovely, such pretty colours and great that all the family helped in one way or another with the presentation.
ReplyDeleteyour stall and all the things you made look beautiful!
ReplyDeleteSo good to read that your items and accessories were a success. Of course, you can never sell everything (how I have heard often from other crafters who also sell their crafts on fairs etc.) but it seems that you were doing really great.
ReplyDeleteWell done on the successful craft fayre. It's always interesting to see what sells well. You made some lovely things.
