Presenting you all, my first Margaret Sherry cross stitch finish ' Garden adventure ' !! :)
I joined ‘ Margaret Sherry lovers ’ group blog sometime back and this is my first ever cross stitching designed by Margaret Sherry . To know about this blog and Margaret Sherry , click on the Icon on the right sidebar ( below the follower button) or click here.
I am so excited to share with you all . I did not wash the finished piece and managed only a bit of ironing . I am thinking of making a small bag with it to keep sachets of gardening seeds .
This design is from the magazine ‘ The World of Cross Stitching ’ June 2013 issue . I downloaded the iPad app available at their site and I swear it is much easier to purchase magazines on iPad . I personally like hardcopies to treasure and don't prefer digital editions but in case of cross stitch I would say digital is the best . The charts can be zoomed to your requirements .
I was introduced to this group blog by my lovely blogger friend Nia who blogs at http://caixinhadepirlimpimpim.blogspot.in/ . There are loads of cute creations to explore on her blog . Ever since I have seen those cute mouse, cats, dogs and hedgehogs by Margaret Sherry , I eagerly wanted to stitch those . Hedgehogs are my favorites . They are going to be next on my list : )
I have changed gears and now speeding onto my cross stitch projects . I could not contribute to my Turtle Trot SAL projects last month so have to make up for that as well . I have some crochet doilies to be blocked so that is in-waiting for my subsequent posts too .
Isn’t it cute ? Do write in !! I am excited to know your feedback and encouraging words !!

Beautiful. You r very patient. Can we embroidery threads online? i am not getting some shades in my place. After seeing your cross stitch i am tempted to finish my Cross stitch WIP.
ReplyDeleteSuch a sweet stitching! I've not had time to cross-stitch or crochet of late and am now finding it hard to get my crafting mojo back. Best wishes to you, Tammy
ReplyDeleteTHis is so incredibly beautiful Preeti! Waht a lovely design. There's a speical place in my heart for mice as my father would tell me bedtime stories about two little mice that immigrated to the USA from Norway. It was quite charming. Your project brought back those memories. :-)
ReplyDeleteWow, it's really beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThat is such a sweet design! You did a fantastic job stitching it. I love all the backstitching in her designs that add so much detail!
ReplyDeleteSo very pretty and dainty Preeti! Loved it, again i admire your patience to do cross stitch that too with so many shades and so much counting! Great job and waiting to see your finished doilies too :)

Nathaly

ReplyDeleteBeautiful stitching Preeti. Love the colours. Very interesting to read about the digital patterns too! I have a lot of old Cross Stitcher magazines to work from and will probably keep using them, but it's nice to know the options, thank you.
